About Nwaka
Nwaka Isamah is a master’s level counselor (Associate License pending) and certified executive coach based in Atlanta, Georgia. She holds a master’s degree in Clinical Psychology from Pepperdine University, an MBA from Duke University’s Fuqua School of Business, and a certificate in Organizational Leadership from The Chicago School of Professional Psychology. She is also a certified executive coach through Emory University and a Restorative Justice facilitator through the University of San Diego.

With over a decade of experience in the corporate workforce as a leader and mental health advocate, Nwaka brings a unique and integrative lens to therapy. She specializes in working with high-achieving individuals who are navigating burnout, workplace anxiety, imposter syndrome, and a loss of identity or sense of self. Her work is rooted in helping clients feel engaged, heard, whole, and purposeful—particularly in environments where emotional expression has often felt unsafe or discouraged.

Nwaka is trained in trauma-informed care and draws from narrative therapy, cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), solution-focused brief therapy (SFBT), psychodynamic, feminist, and mindfulness-based approaches. Her clinical interests include trauma, anxiety, depression, phobias, life transitions, career development, cultural expectations, spirituality, and identity formation. At the heart of her work is empowerment—helping clients reconnect with themselves, clarify their values, and develop a growing sense of agency in their lives.

Nwaka is particularly passionate about working with individuals who are navigating grief, heartbreak, cultural or spiritual tension, and identity development. She also enjoys supporting working women—especially those balancing professional demands with cultural and societal expectations. She values direct and open communication and works best in a collaborative therapeutic relationship where clients are active participants in their growth and self-discovery.
