About Charnae
Hi there, I’m Charnae and I am blessed to be in the field of therapy. There is a saying
that goes “it takes a village to raise a child” but I also feel that it takes a village to
maintain a stable life no matter the age. Life has so many challenges and no one should
have to go through them and endure them alone.
I first started my path into therapy through gaining my bachelor’s degree in May 2020
from Oakwood University. I knew I had a passion for mental health and wanted to
further my knowledge, so I decided to go back to school. I attended Alabama
Agricultural and Mechanical University and graduated in May of 2023 with my master’s
degree.
As a degreed Master Social Worker who has worked in individual and family therapy, I
would say my approach is open with compassion and warmth but straight forward with
truth and reality based in modalities such as CBT, DBT, Mindfulness Cognitive therapy,
and Person-Centered therapy. I am privileged to have experience working with different
diagnosis, symptoms, and behaviors such as depression, anxiety, grief, anger, and
trauma to name a few.
We all have a life, but the goal is to have a life worth living!
